The Annotated Combined Code for Mutual Insurers has been adopted by the Society and ensures that we are able to demonstrate our compliance with the sound principles of Corporate Governance enshrined within the Code.

The Society participated in the Assoication of Mutual Insurers/Association of Friendly Societies initiative for the completion of a detailed Questionnaire in June 2007 explaining how it implemented and complied with the provisions of the Code. As part of its ongoing review of Corporate Governance, the Committee of Management will continue to evaluate its performance to ensure it maintains good standards of compliance with the Annotated Combined Code.

In addition, the Committee of Management actively operates a Board Committee structure as follows:

• Audit Committee

• Risk Committee

• Nominations Committee

• Remuneration Committee

• With-profits Committee

The Terms of Reference for each of these committees can be viewed or downloaded in PDF format from the table below.
